Facebook has announced plans to fund the construction of a new library and community center in Menlo Park’s Belle Haven neighborhood. In a statement, Facebook said, “We believe this effort will strengthen the social fabric of our neighborhood for decades to come.”
No formal proposal has come forward to the City of Menlo Park as of this writing. Facebook representatives are expected to verbally convey their proposal to the City Council on October 15.
